New Bedroom!

Casen playing and watching TV at the same time. Cute Londyn. I babysat her last week. She is a doll and such a good baby.
He was chasing me and I had the camera. He loves chasing and being chased.
Doing what he does. Cars Jammies, playing cars, and watching cars.
Sweet FAT Drew and handsome daddy.

Last week we went for Drew's 4 month. He weighs 16 lbs. He is about 90th for weight and I forgot the rest. Great mom, right. I do have it written down somewhere though. It was a stressful doctors visit. I took both Casen and Drew in to have their ears checked. Drew was just getting over a double ear infection and Casen had been rubbing his ears so I thought I would just take them in together. My boys are both healthy, thank goodness, its just the screaming and crying and trying to entertain them in such a small little room while waiting for the doctor. We were there for almost 2 hours. I'm glad that's over with.

We have been having such a good time with the boys. Casen is pure entertainment. He's becoming a little bully I guess. Not so much mean, but likes to hit when he gets mad and excited. He's still learning not to do that though. He loves to give hugs to other friends his age, but then as he hugs them he grasps onto their clothes and pulls them down with him. Funny kid. He has been biting himself when he gets mad. He always has a bite mark on his arm from himself.

Drew is still just as sweet as ever. Even when he had his ear infections, he was so smiley and sweet. He's been such a good baby. About a month ago we decided it was time to turn the monitor all the way down (we can still see the lights) and let him be on his own in the night. I'm not one to feel bad for letting the kids cry it out at night. He didn't need food at night anymore. So we are all sleeping through the night now which is wonderful. The mornings have been a little earlier than I'd like, but at least I get a full nights rest. Usually from about 10 to 6:30. Love it! Drew is rolling all over. When he is on his back he will scoot too. I try and keep him on a blanket, but that never happens.

Pretty much I love being a mom to these little squirts. They keep me on my toes and I still fit in time for myself and projects. I had a busy week last week. Some of my friends and our husbands went up to Phoenix to Le Grande Orange for dinner. So delish!! I'm so glad we went there. It was different and such a cute unique place. Well, since they all knew that I had been planning to redo my bedroom I worked all week to get it finished so they could see it when they all came over after dinner. I love the outcome. After I make my bed I just stare proudly. There might be a few things to be added but it's pretty much done. It took a few years, but I'm glad I waited and decided on the right colors. I will be moving onto the next painting job soon. Plus we are adding other projects like crown molding, bead board and wall paneling. So excited!
This is Before: No Bed skirt, new shams and window treatments.
Above is Before, Below Is After
I'm in love with the color blue right now. It's so calming, refreshing and not to mention romantic! I did this room all by myself. No help from Darin. I started painting on Monday night. So I was crazy busy on Friday trying to finish up the room. Friday morning I made the bed skirt, two Euro shams and two reg pillow shams. It was a busy day. I love the fabric I found too. Perfect fabric. Maybe not the best quality, but very pretty and durable for it's purpose. The bed skirt and two Euro sham fabric is very similar to the chair we have in our room. It's kind of a velvety something. And the other shams are a blue toile with browns and golds. Love them!! Both fabrics are from wal-mart for less than 5$ a yard!!! Go me! The window treatments I made a while ago. This is when I thought my bedroom walls would stay tan forever, but they turned out to look good with the blue too. If I were to make them over I might use a tan fabric.
I Made these frames too. I love how they turned out.
This shelf was above my couch last month before I redid that wall.
It was black until I painted it cream and stained it and added some wood trim.
Shams up close
Yes I still have this beauty. I'm glad that it finally matches a room in my house. I have not touched it since I bought it almost 10 years ago at a garage sale. I bought it for $10!!

So hopefully I will be posting pictures of my next project soon.

This week is our anniversary. 5 Years!! The best years ever too. Happy Anniversary to us!
