Lately.....
We've just been hanging out. I'm trying to adjust to motherhood still. I'm sure it will take a while. I'm starting to get on a regular schedule which helps. I've been able to make dinner a lot and keep the house somewhat clean, which is good. Casen has been a good baby. He's filling out more in his face. Overall, I can't complain. How the heck did I get so lucky? My mom said I was a horrible baby and cried all of the time.
My sisters and my mom threw me a shower on Saturday. I took my camera, but never managed to snap any shots, sorry. Casen got a lot of great things. It was fun to see all of my friends and family. I was away from Casen for three hours! Darin did a great job with him. He's been such a great dad, and husband. He's very understanding and helpful. It's so fun to see him as a dad.

I love the last picture of him. He is so cute! Grandma Packard is living with my parents right now. When I showed her pictures of Casen on your blog she was just so excited! She talked about you and Darin for a really long time.

I cannot get over all that hair! It will be time for a haircut soon! He is soooooo cute! I have something for him, so I need to come and see you. I will call you and hopefully we can make a trip over! I am glad that he is such a good little baby.

He looks like a strong fella already. And that hair?? Alright- that's about just as cute as they come. What a handsome little guy with sweet perfect features. I've been anxiously awaiting this next post for more pictures. I feel like a terrible friend not having held him yet. I hope your shower went well and you got lots of great stuff!! I'm so happy Casen is such a good baby for you...what great parents you 2 must be.
Hang in there girl- around 12 weeks you'll feel in tact between schedule, and getting back to a normal life. I'm so happy for you...

I love that hair, too! I remember asking my mom (mother of 9) if each child was as big of an adjustment as the first baby, and she told me for her that the hardest was going from none to 1. That always made me feel a little better! So seriously, it does get better. The first little while is rough, for sure. Getting out of the house always made me feel a little bit back to normal, so I'm sure the baby shower provided a much needed break.
Seriously, it shouldnt be leagal to be that cute! You make beautiful babies! Sorry I didnt make it to the shower.....I didnt even get the invitation until today (a week later) because I never check my mail. I'm glad it was fun!
