We might be having a BOY!!!!
Well, I went in yesterday for my last ultrasound. The baby needed to be measured to see if it was growing at the right pace. I asked the doctor if we could also confirm the sex, since last time he said he was 98% sure that it was a girl. He told me OK, and said not to tell him what he had told us last ultrasound. So he started to measure the baby, and everything was right on track which is good, then he went to confirm the sex and pointed out that it was in fact a girl. He showed me where and I was relieved to see it for myself. A few more measures of the baby's legs and bones and stuff and he said, "I'm going to shock you right now by telling you that I'm going to change my mind on the gender." He started to show me where & why he thought he saw a penis. He was trying to get the baby to move because he though it was a foot in the way, like the baby had it's heel in it's crotch, but he couldn't get the baby to move it's heel, if that's what it was. He kept bumping my tummy to get it to move and open it's legs more. So it was pretty frustrating for both the Dr. & I that we couldn't confirm it, and we will just have to wait until we deliver in December to find out. I couldn't believe it. I had just got used to the fact it was a girl. We were pretty set on a name and now we need to come up with two names. I had a feeling the first time that it was going to be a boy, but the doc said it was a girl. Then yesterday he first said it was a girl, then changed his mind to a boy. He said this rarely happens this way, and it's just that baby not being in the right position. So instead of going to get a 3D ultrasound, we've decided to just go ahead and wait. Darin was really excited when he found out there was a higher percentage of a boy now. We will be happy with either. Darin didn't want to find out in the first place, but I really wanted to know so now he gets his wish that we won't find out until the end. I'm okay with it now, I guess I have to be right!? It is pretty exciting. I'm just glad I haven't bought ANYTHING girly yet. I did make a few bows and received some bows and a girly blanket from some friends, but that's it. Looks like I won't be having a shower until a few weeks after the baby comes, which is fine. We'll still probably paint the room some shade of green, and just be prepared for whatever comes. So that's our latest crazy news.

What? That is so funny and exciting too! I wouldn't be able to stand not knowing, but you sound like you're okay with it. Of course I think boys are the greatest since that's all I know. Now you'll have to think of some boy names...that was the hardest thing ever for us! Also, looks like you had a blast in CA. We wish we could've gone!
How crazy. My husband didn't want to find out this time, but we got a picture and figured it out ourselves, plus ended up having 3 more ultrasounds that confirmed it. What doctor do you go to? I'm lucky because where I go they do a 3D one almost everytime just for fun. Anyway, I think your nursery colors will be perfect for not knowing, sounds beautiful.
I am so happy fo ryuo, no matter how it turns out!!!
Wow! And all this time you thought it was a girl! Good for you for not finding out, you are a better person than me!
Yes, let's do lunch! I want to see your belly! SO CUTE! How does Tues. work for you?
Baby Showers are fun after the baby is born too. My sister did that way, and we all loved staring at the sleeping baby.
Wow, I thought I had it bad when it took 4 ultrasounds to find out that Dani was going to be a girl! I was going crazy! You are very patient to be able to wait. We will be excited to get the news in December. Oh, if it's a boy I still expect to see a picture with a bow and beaded socks :)

So, congrats, even if you don't know what you are having yet. Natalie stumbled along your blog while blog surfing some of Amanda's friends. She asked me if I knew you were pregnant. Since I hadn't talked to you in about 5 years, I didn't know at all. Anyway, congratualtions. I've got two little boys and I can tell you that they are a blast. Check out our blog to see how cute they are! Good thing they take after their mom's looks.
