I'm leaving today, I'll be back Sunday
I'm going out of town this afternoon. My brother, Michael and his wife Kim and their adorable daughter, Reece are coming today to from Utah. As soon as they fly in, the whole family is headed up to my parents cabin in Alpine, AZ. Jaime & I are driving up a little early with her girls and Josh. I'm looking forward to a relaxing fun time with family, except I'm sad that Emilee & Todd will not be able to come. WE WILL MISS YOU EMILEE & TODD!
I've been busy with a few things lately. For one, we are trying to rent our Mesa house. We were over there all day on Saturday patching holes and painting and cleaning. You name it. I've been trying to hire a lawn maintenance guy for our small yard there, and they are quoting me very high prices which is surprising to me. Way higher than what we pay at our Gilbert house and it's like 3 or 4 times the yard. We don't even need that much done. So that's frustrating. I also (like my friend Karla Williams) failed my first Diabetes testing a few weeks ago, so I have to go into the lab and retest. I'm so not looking forward to it since I have to be there for three hours straight without anything to eat and they draw my blood 4 times.
We bought our stroller and Pack-n-play a few weeks ago. It was so cute that Darin was so excited about it, he put them both together right when we got home. We would both stroll around the house and imagine our little one in it. He set up the pack-n-play in our room, so that's fun to have in there with us. Wow, 10 weeks left. Here's whats going on at 30 weeks. My belly button is going to pop out any day. I'm to the point where I don't look like myself at all. A few people I hadn't seen since I got pregnant didn't recognize me when they saw me, it's my face. It's filled out so much. My back is aching a lot, my feet have swollen, and sleeping positions are difficult too. Man, the 5 month I had nothing to complain about. It was great. I guess from here till Delivery it will be very challenging. I am sleeping a lot, and my favorite thing is to watch my stomach and see the baby kick like crazy. I love that.
So since we might be having a boy, we haven't even started talking about boy names. I guess we need a little help. Anything will help. We need to get the ball rolling on the name situation. Thanks everyone. Sorry to Brooke & Jen for not updating sooner.:) I will try to post more often. Have a great weekend everyone!

Alyssa-
I know how you feel. Take it easy. Rest often. Pregnancy is not easy, and often not very attractive. I am going to tell you something that I hope will make you feel better. One day I got home when I was 7 1/2 months pregnant and noticed some red lines on my skin, I thought to myself, when did a cat scratch me? To my horror I realized they were stretch marks. When Wade got home I was all weepy and told him to prepare for some bad news. When I told him he said "oh yeah, I know, they have been there a few weeks"! That was a low day, and I hope it made you laugh. Keep smiling, and enjoy the cooler weather, it should help the swelling. Hang in there, only 10 weeks to go.
Yay!! Finally! I am sorry you are aching!! but now its probably a good thing you aren't working as much and can rest and relax!
Sorry about the discomfort! My sister failed her test and has gestational diabetes. She is due in a few weeks and can't wait to eat carbs so I hope all goes well.
Hey Alyssa,
You're so lucky you get to sleep so much... take advantage of that. Oh, I saw a few people yesterday that only met me once when I was almost due, and they didn't recognize me either, probably because I've lost about 30lbs. and to make you feel even better... I have 40 more to lose!!!! Have fun with your family, it sounds great.
it is a very good thing you are able to sleep, like Chari says take advantage of that. And once the baby comes sleep when it sleeps. 10 weeks goes by so fast, I feel like just yesterday I had 10 weeks left but she now she is 2 months old, cherish it all.
So, I'm just curious how much you're looking to rent your Mesa home for?!
Also, it sounds like you and Darin are super excited about the baby's arrival. I'm excited for you!
Laura's gonna pop ANY day now and we are all ANXIOUS for it! :0)
