The moment you've all been waiting for.....
Finally the kitchen reveal. I love to decorate. It's a passion. I stay at home a lot because it's hard to take Casen anywhere these days. So I sit at home thinking up all these ideas and wanting to change things. When I do get some time to myself for shopping or something, It's not a lot of time and I usually need to go get groceries, so theres just not a lot of time to get out and shop for decor and fabrics. So I spend some time during the day on the computer looking at inspiring design blog and get lots of fun ideas. I try and rearrange but sometimes I need more. So I've been wanting to redo my window treatments, but like I said, don't have the time and the money not to mention, so I take my 5 year old plain cream IKEA panels from the guest room and cut them up to the size of each window, then I cut out a design in a stencil and use some green sample wall paint from Lowe's, add a little water to the paint, and stencil a pattern on the fabric. I'm really liking how they turned out. I was going to have my mom paint me a design on the fabric, since shes a very talented artist, but changed my mind and went with the stencil. I will have her do some other paintings for my house sometime. I love that I didn't have to go anywhere or spend any money for new window treatments. Even better that I love the way they turned out.
What I need advice about is what color to paint the island. I want it a different color, but not sure what color. I was thinking either a brownish with a hint of grey, or green. What do you think? ... You friends that are designers, I'm really hoping you leave a comment too!!! wink wink!
I almost wrote on my last post that, No, I will not paint your cabinets. It's was enough work to do one kitchen!! Except for you mom, I will help you. :)

Looks fabulous! Makes me want to do something new in my house. :)
WOW, YOU GUYS DID AN AMAZING JOB.
AND AS FAR AS YOUR ISLAND GOES. THAT IS EASY. MATCH IT TO THE COLOR OF THE GREEN IN YOUR WINDOW TREATMENTS. THAT WILL TIE IT TOGETHER PERFECTLY!
YOU AND I DO THE SAME THING. I SIT AND LOOK AROUND AND THE NEXT THING I KNOW I AM RE-PAINTING A WALL, MOVING PICTURES, ADDING SOMETHING HERE OR THERE. THANKFULLY TOMMY JUST GOES WITH THE FLOW. I AM MOVING INTO THE KITCHEN THESE NEXT FEW WEEKS AND AM GOING TO DO A NEW BACKSPLASH. YIKES!!!!
It looks amazing your awesome!!!
That looks so beautiful!!! I am glad that I am not the only one that loves to redecorate! I wish I was creative with the sewing and things, though...
They look amazing and I'm so proud of you!! I will take you up on your offer, when I get the nerve to do mine. You are really gifted.
Love love love it! I really need you to come over to my house please.
That looks awesome! You did a great job. I have been liking gray lately, and I think a charcoal gray would go perfectly on your island!
ok, I already am drooling over how amazing your cabinets looks, but I am DYING over the fact that you painted/stenciled that design onto those curtains! Honestly, aside from the cabinets, the curtains were what immediately caught my eye in the pics you very first posted cuz I was thinking "I love that pattern on her curtains, I wonder where she got them..." I would have NEVER thought to paint on them like that! They turned out amazing!! Someday, when we move back to Az and buy a home, I am seriously going to hire you as my interior decorator to come over and give me tips! You are so talented! (and I can tell we have very similar taste!) LOVE IT! LOVE ALL OF IT! :)
Your kitchen looks amazing! I will not ask you to paint my kitchen but you do need to teach me everything you know, especially how to sew. I want to learn but have no idea where to start. well done!
WONDERFUL!!!
i love love love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are awesome!
They look so good. We are getting close to being done with ours. I would definately go with a chocolate brown for your bar. I think the contrast would be nice.
wow, you are an inspiration to just 'DO IT'. i stare at my walls all day but i am just too lazy to get things done, my bedroom feels like it will never be finished! about the island, match it to one of the darker colors on your granite.
that kitchen is just so beautiful, amazing job..bravo!
