The New Year
I just put 2 more posts on recently, so Check them out. Plus I added a few more photos to the Christmas post for those of you wondering.I wanted to write down my goals for the new year. Not just to share with you, but to have them in writing so I won't forget them.
Here they are:
Save money at the grocery store (save money period, but I would like to start with groceries)
I started coupon sense last week, and I'm trying to get my head wrapped around the concept, and how genius and organized it all is. It will save me money and keep me organized. Ok, I have to keep myself organized, but this tool will help me. I'm really looking forward to seeing some numbers ($$$) drop soon. I will be posting about that in the months to come.
Exercise more. I am committing to a sprint triathlon in May. I wanted to do one that was in November, but I was called to the YW in my ward and we had a youth conference that same weekend in Pine, so I could not do the tri, so now I'm going to start training for this one. It's the "She rocks" one. I need to read about it still and look into it a little more, but my friend did it last year and I'm going to do it with her this year.
Read and or study each day from scriptures, or something uplifting. I started reading the new RS manual for this year, which I have never done, and I am really enjoying it. There is so much basic but great info in there that I have needed to read. So hopefully I can finish the whole thing. Its the perfect book to read right before bed. :)
Spend more time reading, teaching and playing with the boys. I have loved taking them to the park a lot this week. We need to get out and enjoy this awesome weather while it lasts.
Then theres always the little ones:
Organize, clean, finish projects, plan fun date nights, meal plan, make dinner more, try new recipes, send a card or drop a gift for a close family or friends birthday. I might add more later if I think of more.
The best days are the ones that are filled with goals that have been accomplished. When I'm taking 10 or 15 minutes to read something uplifting, and taking 30 minutes or so to exercise, then clean, organize a little, take the boys to play, make dinner and still feel good and not stressed or overworked, then those are the best most fulfilling days that I love. I hope to make everyday this year like that or better. Man, being a mom is so busy! Who would have thought!?

I'm doing SheRox in May too! I already signed up before Christmas (because there was a deal). I did it last year and it was the most fun tri I have done.
Those are awesome goals! They sound like mine except for the marathon! I used to run with the boys in Thatcher but it is much different running in a small town vs a big one! I am always looking over my shoulder! Coupon sense is amazing email me if you have questions! Although I am still learning! megsaz@msn.com
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU PRETTY LADY! HOPE ALL IS GOING WELL WITH YOUR RESOLUTIONS AND FAMILY!
ARE YOU GOING TO LADIES NIGHT ON THURSDAY AT DESIGNER BLVD? JUST CURIOUS?
I LOVE YOUR RING YOU GOT. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. THE HUBBY DID WELL. MY ABSOLUTE FAVE PIC IS CASEN ON HIS QUAD DOING WHAT BOYS DO BEST... WATCHING THE TV! LOVE IT!!!!
I HAVE DONE COUPON SENSE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW. IT IS AWESOME BUT I FOUND THAT MOST OF THE COUPONS ARE FOR THINGS WE REALLY DON'T NEED TO BE EATING... STUFF WITH BOX LOADS OF SUGAR. I WILL SEE HOW MUCH MY BILLS CHANGE AND THEN PROBABLY GO BACK BUT FOR NOW I AM IN THE "ZONE" AGAIN WITH FOOD AND THERE ARE NEVER COUPONS FOR THE STUFF WE NEED! ANY WAY... YOU ARE LOOKING GREAT AND THAT IS AWESOME YOU PUT DOWN YOUR GOALS. I DID THE SAME AND SOMEHOW I FEEL LIKE IF IT IS IN PRINT I AM MORE ACCOUNTABLE!!!!
I enjoyed reading this! First - you look so thin! I can see it in your face anyway. Doing face exercises? :) Second - I wish I could take Emmett to the park and that we had decent weather. Right now our air is like poison that burns my eyes and nose. Ugh... stuck inside. Third - I can't believe that Casen is 2! Those goals sound great - I really should try doing those same things.
