Mother's Day 2011

This years Mother's day was "Off the hook!" (said like Jim Carey in "Yes Man" look it up on youtube under the "redbull" scene) It started out with a girls trip with 3 close friends to Oceanside Cali. We stayed in a sweet beach side condo. Eating, soaking in the sun, working out, eating, shopping, movies, dancing, talking, laughing and eating a lot more, makeup, borrowing clothes.... It was so much fun. We left Early Friday morning and didn't get back till Sunday around 6:30 PM. It was awesome. Perfect weather for us the whole time too. I love my friends so much. 2 of the are my neighbors, and live right on my street. Tara still lives close, but needs to move onto our street. :) I think we invited 14 people in the beginning and only us 4 were the ones who could come. We missed everyone who couldn't go.

Cute huh!? We laughed forever about these faces we made. It was so therapeutic to laugh and act so goofy the whole time. Miss the company of these girls already!

Then I came home to this.... My creative, and talented husband thought of this. Soooo sweet! He took the boys to Hobby lobby all by himself, without a stroller or cart I might add, (he said they wouldn't sit in the cart. He's a beginner with shopping with both kids alone. He didn't know to tell them to sit in the cart or we cant go in the store) Anyway, he bought the dowels, and red and green paper. He also cut them out each by hand. Each flower opens up to have a quote about motherhood in it. Plus a sweet and mushy card on the side. He loves me, and I'm so lucky!! I've got to top that for Father's day! Seriously, look at that detail. He is a perfectionist.
