The Fourth
Colorado was so much fun!! We left Thursday afternoon and got there around midnight. I guess we thought wrong about when exactly we would get there, and we didn't think about the time difference either. Darin's Uncle & Aunt, Coulam & Janis Monk were so nice to greet us no matter how late it was. There Cabin is about 25 miles outside of Durango. They are so much fun to be around. Casen did great the whole trip. It was so cute to see him light up every time Aunt Janis would walk in the room. He really likes her. Then he would stare at her if she was sitting near him. It was so cute. Friday we decided to go to the ski resort and ride on the ski lift and look at the beautiful scenery. We were all ready to get on the ski lift, then they told us that Casen had to be three. So I went by myself while Darin and Casen stayed back. It was so beautiful!! Last time we were there we went skiing, so it was fun to see it without snow. After that we went into Durango and walked around a little bit, went to lunch then home for a quick nap. Janis made the best chicken and dumplings, then it was off to see fireworks. The firework were breathtaking. I wish I could describe the view we had and how amazing the night was. I have never seen firework this beautiful. It was so breathtaking that I almost cried. I really felt so much love and appreciation for my country. Saturday we went into Silverton, a small old mining town near the cabin, where the fireworks were. we walked around a little , had lunch then drove back. The drive back was gorgeous. That's where all the scenic pics came from. We kept stopping to take pictures. The weather was between 50 - 65 degrees the whole time. It was perfect. We kept saying how glad we were that we came because of how pretty it was. That night we went back into Durango for dinner. We left very early on Sunday to make it back for a family dinner.

Alyssa, you are looking so so good. Oh, I went to Tai Pan when I was in St. George. I knew about it only from your blog and let me tell you... I'm IN LOVE with that place! Thanks for the great recommendation.
Hey Waldo! I didn't know you still had to go to mutual even after you move out of the ward. Your Colorado pics are just amazing. I love the one with you guys on the bridge and the snow on the mountains. Having a kid sure didn't slow you guys down from taking fun trips!

Alyssa! I so remember you! Haha, oh the fun times. I think the first time we talked was in the bathroom at the seminary building. (While we should have been in class.) You're little boy is so cute! It's good to see you are doing well.
