Memorial Day & some other stuff
We had nothing better to do on Memorial day. A few others in Darin's family were planning on going for the day. We left our house at 7am and headed down. I've never been, and didn't really know what to expect. Well, it was dirty, and small, and I really felt at times that we were in that era. I'm so glad we really aren't. I don't like dirt. There were people dressed up all over the place just for fun. I will probably never go back there. If your into cowboy stuff, then Tombstone, AZ is the place for you, not me. I'm not sorry we went though. Darin and his family are always good company, and Casen was a good sport too. We stopped at the outlet stores on our way home and got back at 6:30pm.
Carriage ride through Tombstone

Her kids LOVE to hold Casen. They are always fighting over who gets to hold him.
This one is mainly to see Tombstone in the background.
Well, I've finished a few other projects lately. I made some letters for Casen's wall. I've been meaning to do that since he was born. I still do not have a bumper pad for his crib or a dust ruffle. Who knows when I will get one. Also I made some pillows for our Family room couches finally. The pillows are a little lumpy. Is there a right way to stuff pillows with batting?I could use some tips.

I think the couches look so much better with them.

Next projects are a window treatment for Casen's room, Window treatments for our bedroom. Don't be surprised if it take me 6 months to a year to finish!!

Those pillows are so pretty! will u make some for my house??
I hated my visit to Tombstone too! We went just before Olivia was born...IT WAS HOT, sticky, Dirty...and I was a little board. The kids seemed to like it ok...but I didn't think it was worth the drive. :) Your letters are SOO CUTE! How did you do them? And your pillows..such talent! We will need to do a crafty night! :)
I am glad to know you are a blogger!
Your house looks so cute!
Those pillows really dress up your couch! They are fabulous! And the letters are awesome! How did you make those? Are you for hire? So talented! Jason wants me to go to Tombstone for a day trip. After reading your blog, I may pass. Thanks for the heads up!
My sister has leather couches and the pillows are always slipping down or off. Do you have that problem? They look great, if they stay where you put them :) Casen just looks so cute!
Pillows look really good.Mine are lumpy too. They have pillow forms you can buy. Sometimes I get old pillows from savers and just cover those. they are much cheaper! good luck on the window treatments!
WOW...holly homemaker! I love the pillows. Can you help me make window coverings for my house? Well, it might be easier for you to just do it and I'll pay you.:)
I love the new decorations. Wade and I went to Tombstone and I felt that same way when we left. :)
I love the letters in Casen's room! Very cute, and as far as the lumpy pillows, I would just stuff more batting in???
