Weekend

We had such a fun weekend. We left for Showlow on Friday morning with our friends, Marc & Jeanette Jackson. The boys brought their quads. We stayed at the beautiful cabin of Kelly & Leroy Breinholt. Darin's brother Ryan and his wife Jami joined us on Saturday afternoon. We watched a bunch of movies, played games, ate lots of yummy food, and enjoyed each others company. The guys couldn't miss the ASU football game on Saturday of course, so the girls went into town for a little shopping and a pedicure. We just couldn't sit that long through a football game while on vacation. Saturday morning I asked Darin to take me on a quad ride. It was fun, but the entire ride I was worrying about the baby and if the ride was going to make me go into labor. I wouldn't have asked to go if I knew I was going to worry so much. Darin was trying his best to not go too fast over rocks or bumps, but it was still pretty rough. Luckily I'm okay, and the baby kept kicking the rest of the day. This is a picture of us before the ride.

We got a phone call from Clark, Darin's Oldest brother, who told us he had been accepted into the Mormon Tabernacle choir!!! GO CLARK!! We are so excited for him, and knew he would make it. We are so blessed to have a family member with such musical talent.

Even though I'm not working, I am still keeping myself busy. (For those of you wondering what the heck I do all day) There is lots to do before the baby comes. Aside from going to lunch with friends, babysitting my nieces sometimes, and doing typical house work, I have a few projects going on at home. My window treatments for the family room are coming along slowly, but surely. Its taken me a while to decide on Fabric. I'm trying to finish a ribbon board from an enrichment activity, and I'm going to go ahead and start decorating for Christmas. I still need more decor items which I'm hoping to find next weekend while I visit a decor store in St. George called Tai Pan. It's a fun place with very reasonably priced stuff. And yes, I'm driving there just to go to this store. I went to the one that's in Sandy Utah last year and we've been wanting to go back. So we are so excited that there is one a little closer now. It actually just opened last week. My mom and Emilee and hopefully my sister in-law Kelli are turning it into a weekend girls trip and we hope to have time to visit the temple there as well. I've never been to St. George, but I hear it's beautiful. Does anyone know how long it takes to drive there? I've heard it's 6 hours?

Can someone explain the whole going private with your blog thing?
Especially those who have gone private. Why did you do it? Should I go private?

Happy Birthday to Jenna!! Her birthday is Wednesday.

I love that store! I'm jealous you are going there but am glad there is one in St. George. It took us about 8 hours to get there. The Grand Canyon gets in the way so you have to go around it. Have fun!

YEA FOR CLARK!! At my brother's luncheon he played his audition song for some of my family members. Yes, he's amazing! And now I have a claim to fame, so that's fun :)

So jealous that you are going to have a fun girls weekend! That's where my mom and sisters went last year for a girls trip and it was awesome...it IS gorgeous! It only takes about 4 hours from Flag, so I'd say not more than 6 or 6 1/2 from the valley. Ok, so I've been wanting to start decorating for Christmas already, but felt like I should wait a little longer because it is only the beginning of November. But now that I hear someone else is doing it, I'm just going to go for it... Christmas tree and all! I love love love the Christmas season/decorations/ music/smells/food!! Can't wait. Have fun on your trip!

the private thing feels much safer to some people like me. thats why i do it. i was also on someones blog one day and they said they have this thing that tells them who looks at their blog and it was pretty creepy the different stalker-like people who constantly look at the same blogs over and over again. i just dont like knowing that creeps can keep tabs on me and know updated information about me

Hey Alyssa, I did go 4 wheeling when I was pregnant the first two times. I did worry and complain alot, but it was fun, and things worked out fine. I also go shooting when I'm pregnant sometimes and always think it's going to mess up their hearing. :) Anyway, I want you to come tell me what kind of window coverings I should do at my house, I am terrible at that!
